Osteopathy Treatments
Osteopathy is a holistic healthcare approach that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and their impact on the overall health of an individual. Osteopathic practitioners believe in the body's inherent ability to heal itself and aim to facilitate this natural healing process.
An Osteopathic treatment may involve hands-on techniques such as soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilisation, stretching and exercises to improve the musculoskeletal system’s function, with consideration to the individual’s physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.

My Approach
I acknowledge that you are the expert in your own life
When taking your history and assessing your condition, I will listen carefully, value your perspective and take into account your general health, personal circumstances, and specific concerns.
Together, we will then explore possible causes, treatment options and discuss your goals before commencing hands-on treatment.
I assess the whole person and understand the interconnected nature of the body. I consider if emotions, thoughts, social interactions and stress levels are exacerbating your symptoms and if necessary, help you implement positive behaviour changes to treat the root cause. For example, tight shoulder muscles can impair breathing leading to reduced energy levels and poor digestion.
As we work together, I will share knowledge and tools to enable you to self-manage and improve your condition beyond the treatment room.
If needed, I work alongside other health and allied professionals to optimise your wellbeing.
